 Ciao Systems develops retail point-of-sale and back office software for the hospitality business. Our specialty is independently owned and regional franchise operations who need an easy to learn and manage system. Our flagship product, Ciao POS is widely regarded as the industry’s easiest to use because of its highly graphical and intuitive design. As a company focused on, and committed to, the restaurant industry, our goals are to provide affordable solutions that maximize the efficiency of a restaurant’s management and staff and to provide quality support to our dealers and their customers. Ciao Point-Of-Sale, our primary product, is named for the Italian word meaning hello and goodbye. The word derives from the Latin phrase “ survo suo ! ” meaning - I am “ your servant ” With more than 1,300 installations, Ciao is a mature product with a robust feature set that serves its users well. In addition to Ciao POS, we provide several add-on modules including credit card processing table management, delivery, house accounts, gift cards, frequent diner, time keeping and scheduling, and backoffice and a number of interfaces to third party software including ADP Payroll, Scannabar Beverage Control, TVS Digital Security Cameras, and Nite Vision Property Management System. We are also aggressively developing enhancements and additional add-ons to Ciao with the goal of making Ciao the premier POS product in the industry. We also offer web hosting services to our dealers and web development and graphic design services as a general business line. Our POS product line is distributed through a network of dealers in the Continental US and Puerto Rico. We are currently expanding our dealer base in the US and Canada and hope to expand into Alaska/Hawaii, Mexico, and Central and South America in the near term future. Our Officers include our President and CEO, Jonathan Price who is the company’s lead software architect. As CEO of Cache Box, Inc. he led the teams that won nearly $50 million in government contracts as well as being the architect of the Virtual Diner online ordering system and Cache Box’s line of touch screen terminals, cash drawers and kiosks. Prior to that he was the Government Contract Manager for Sears Business Systems where he was responsible for the management of more than $650M in contracts. Mr. Price also served in government sales positions at Hewlett Packard as well as being a senior developer and database architect of the Honeywell Manufacturing System – a mainframe based transaction processing system for manufacturers. Our Director of Web Technology is Aaron Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez comes to Ciao from Cache Box, Inc. where he was Director of Web Development and was responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s web site. Prior to working for Cache Box, Mr. Hernandez was Webmaster for Dulles Micro, Inc., Webmaster for InterVise Consultants, Inc., Database Administrator and Web Developer for Aim, Inc. Our Vice President, Sales and Marketing is Rick Tomblin. Mr. Tomblin comes to Ciao from Cache Box, Inc. where he was project manager for military projects and was responsible for establishing a global POS contract for the non-appropriated funds of the US Armed Forces. Prior to working for Cache Box, Mr. Tomblin served several years in the US Army and US Army Reserve. From there, he entered the contract security business and later worked in management in the US Army’s club system. |
